Terms of Service

AgentToll is a pay-per-call data API. Each request to a paid endpoint is quoted in an HTTP 402 response and settled in USDC on Base through the x402 protocol. By calling the service you accept these terms.

The service

There are no accounts, API keys, subscriptions or minimum commitments. You pay per call.
Prices are stated in each 402 quote and in the free catalog at /api/catalog. They may change at any time; the quote you receive is the price for that call.
Data-handler failures before settlement are not billed. Settlement begins after the handler succeeds; a connection loss or timeout afterward may prevent delivery even when payment settled. Inspect your receipt and wallet before retrying an authorized payment.
Responses may be cached for a route-specific period. Immutable historical snapshots can be cached for six hours; returned observation timestamps and coverage describe the data's age and limits.

Payments

Payments are onchain and final. Because a payment settles wallet-to-wallet on Base, we cannot reverse one.
We never take custody of your funds and never hold your keys. You sign each authorization yourself.
You are responsible for the wallet you pay from and for any applicable taxes.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass payment, disrupt the service, or use it to break the law.
Automated use is expected — this API is built for agents. Every endpoint is rate limited per IP: free ones tightly, paid ones at a ceiling far above normal use.

Data and warranty

Data is aggregated from third-party sources and public blockchain data. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not financial advice.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability, and we are not liable for losses arising from use of the data.
Upstream sources can fail or change. An endpoint may return an explicit partial result or a data error. Partial results disclose missing coverage; a data error before settlement is not billed.

The service is open source under the MIT licence at github.com/tevfikefeaydin/agenttoll. The licence covers the software; these terms cover the hosted service.
